Key Responsibilities
- Inspect food establishments for compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
- Collect food samples and send them for laboratory testing.
- Investigate food-related complaints and take necessary enforcement action.
- Educate food business operators on food safety regulations and best practices.
- Maintain inspection records and submit detailed reports.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and transportation of food products.

Required Qualifications
Education Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following:
- Food Technology
- Dairy Technology
- Biotechnology
- Oil Technology
- Agricultural Science
- Veterinary Science
- Biochemistry
- Microbiology
- Medicine
- OR a Master’s degree in Chemistry.
- Equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Completion of training specified by the Food Authority in a government-recognized institute.
